Malaysia extends time on AD probe decision on rebar imports

The Malaysian government wants more time to make a preliminary determination on an anti-dumping investigation relating to rebar imported from China and South Korea.

The determination was originally to have been made by December.

The time period will be extended by an additional 30 days from January 1 until January 30 according to a statement from the country’s ministry of international trade and industry on Monday December 29. It did not give further details.

The anti-dumping probe follows a petition lodged by long steel producer Ann Joo Steel on behalf of the domestic industry.
