Caroline Messecar

Caroline Messecar specializes in rare earths, scandium and other technology metals. She is fascinated by the science, economics and politics of innovation and technological change. Caroline joins Fastmarkets from another PRA, where she specialized in rare earths markets for nine years, during which time the industry has undergone radical change. Caroline is responsible for rare earths price development and leads Fastmarkets’ coverage of technology metals that play a critical role in the electrification of the transport sector, the build-out of 5G networks, the internet of things (IoT) and Industry 4.0 (4IR). Caroline works with a team of rare earths experts and price reporters in locations around the globe to cover the full breadth of the magnets supply chain and monitor new sources of supply in the pipeline.
