Fastmarkets proposes to discontinue two category 3 animal fat ddp NWE assessments

Fastmarkets proposes to discontinue its weekly price assessments for AG-TLW-0028 Category 3 bone fat, high grade, 5% ffa, 98%, max 200 ppm polyethylene, ddp Northwest Europe and AG-TLW-0029 Category 3 pure beef tallow, 10% ffa, 99%, ddp Northwest Europe.

The proposal is driven by lack of market liquidity. Specifically, Fastmarkets proposes to discontinue:

AG-TLW-0028 Category 3 bone fat, high grade, 5% ffa, 98%, max 200 ppm polyethylene, ddp Northwest Europe, €/tonne
Quality: Free fatty acids (FFA) max. 5%, moisture, impurities and unsaponifiable matter (MIU) max 2%, purity min 98%, polyethylene max 200 ppm
Quantity: Minimum 100 tonnes
Location: Northwest Europe, ddp
Timing: Delivery up to 45 days following date of sale
Unit: EUR/tonne
Publication: Weekly, Thursday, 4pm London time

AG-TLW-0029 Category 3 pure beef tallow, 10% ffa, 99%, ddp Northwest Europe, €/tonne
Quality: Free fatty acids (FFA) max. 10%, moisture, impurities and unsaponifiable matter (MIU) max 1%, purity min 99%
Quantity: Minimum 100 tonnes
Location: Northwest Europe, ddp
Timing: Delivery up to 45 days following date of sale
Unit: EUR/tonne
Publication: Weekly, Thursday, 4pm London time

These prices are part of the Fastmarkets Agriculture package.

The consultation period for this price/index discontinuation began on Thursday February 19 2026 and will end on Wednesday March 18 2026, with changes taking place, subject to market feedback, from Friday March 20.

All short-term forecasts associated with this price (or these prices) produced by the Fastmarkets research team, if any, will also be discontinued.
