Fastmarkets has decided to launch four monthly price assessments for tissue jumbo rolls delivered China, on Friday April 3.
The four assessments cover four provinces, Shandong, Hebei, Guangxi, and Sichuan, for tissue jumbo rolls made from wood pulp and a mix of wood pulp and non-wood fiber in a basis weight range of 11.5-17 grams per square meter.
The decision follows a one-month consultation period which ended on Monday March 16.
China is the largest global producer and consumer of tissue products. Due to urbanization and rising living standards, the country’s tissue market is experiencing significant growth in capacity and exports, positioning it as a focal point for the international pulp and paper industry.
The specifications for the new prices are as follows:
FP-TS-0004 – Tissue, wood pulp-furnished jumbo rolls, 15-17 g/square meter, DAP, Shandong, yuan/tonne
Quantity:Minimum 10 tonnes
Incoterm: DAP (delivered at place)
Location:Shandong
Specification: Assume normal and customary payment terms, including taxes.
Unit &Currency: Tonne, yuan
Delivery period:Orders taken in the month to date for shipment in the current month or the following month.
Data window: In the month prior to publication.
Frequency:Monthly, usually in the first week of the month, or the following week if there is a Chinese public holiday, 2pm Shanghai.
Notes:Furnish: 100% wood. Prices are for tonnage considering regular reels in widths of 2.7-2.85 meters, a diameter of 1.1-1.5 meters and a core around 3 inches.
FP-TS-0001 – Tissue, wood pulp-furnished jumbo rolls, 15-16 g/square meter, DAP, Hebei, yuan/tonne
Location:Hebei
Specification: Assume normal and customary payment terms, excluding taxes.
FP-TS-0003 – Tissue, mixed wood/nonwood pulp-furnished jumbo rolls, 11.5-15 g/square meter, DAP, Guangxi, yuan/tonne
Location:Guangxi
Notes:Furnish: Mixed wood and bagasse pulp. Prices are for tonnage considering regular reels in widths of 2.7-2.85 meters, a diameter of 1.1-1.5 meters and a core around 3 inches.
FP-TS-0002 – Tissue, mixed wood/nonwood pulp-furnished jumbo rolls, 11.5-15 g/square meter, DAP, Sichuan, yuan/tonne
Location:Sichuan
Notes:Furnish: Mixed wood and bamboo pulp. Prices are for tonnage considering regular reels in widths of 2.7-2.85 meters, a diameter of 1.1-1.5 meters and a core around 3 inches.
