Launch of cold-rolled grain oriented electrical steel, ex-whs Eastern China price assessment: pricing notice

Fastmarkets has launched a cold-rolled grain oriented electrical steel, ex-whs Eastern China price assessment on Friday April 17 to expand our coverage of the electrical steel market.

The decision to launch this price follows a one-month consultation that started on March 5 and ended on April 4, 2026. 

The price specifications is as follows:

MB-STE-0952 Electrical steel, cold-rolled grain oriented, ex-whs Eastern China, $/tonne
Quality: B23R085 & 23QG085, thickness 0.23 mm, width 1,000 mm
Quantity: 10 tonnes minimum
Location: Ex-warehouse Shanghai
Timing: 1-2 weeks
Unit: USD/tonne
Payment terms: Prompt payment upon delivery
Publication: Every second week, Friday 4-6pm Shanghai time
Notes: Inclusive of 13% VAT. The unit of assessment is $/tonne, converted from yuan/tonne.
