Proposal to discontinue yellow grease, FOB Pacific Northwest, New York assessments

Fastmarkets proposes the discontinuation of its AG-GRS-0012 Yellow grease, fob US Pacific Northwest, cts/lb and AG-GRS-0010 Yellow grease, fob New York, cts/lb effective Tuesday November 3, amid a period of sustained illiquidity in these markets.

The consultation period for the proposed discontinuation begins on Tuesday June 30.

A decision notice will be published 45 days pursuant to the initial consultation date, on Tuesday September 1, with the change effective, subject to market feedback, on Tuesday November 3.

The methodologies for the requisite assessments are as follows:

AG-GRS-0012 Yellow grease, fob US Pacific Northwest, cts/lb

Quality: Free fatty acids (FFA) max. 15%, moisture, impurities and unsaponifiable matter (MIU) max. 2%, FAC value max. 39
Quantity: Minimum three truckloads or one railcar
Location: Pacific Northwest, FOB production point
Timing: Shipment within 30 days following date of sale
Unit: USD cents/lb
Publication: Daily, 3pm US Central time

AG-GRS-0010 Yellow grease, fob New York, cts/lb

Quality: Free fatty acids (FFA) max. 15%, moisture, impurities and unsaponifiable matter (MIU) max. 2%, FAC value max. 39
Quantity: Minimum three truckloads or one railcar
Location: New York, FOB production point
Timing: Shipment within 30 days following date of sale
Unit: USD cents/lb
Publication: Daily, 3pm US Central time
