Mexico’s iron ore output up 5.5% year-on-year in August

Iron ore production in Mexico increased by 5.5% year-on-year in August 2012, according to national statistics agency Inegi.

Output rose to 649,928 tonnes, Inegi’s figures showed.

Production of coal dipped by 12.6% year-on-year to 896,359 tonnes.
