We are delighted to announce that Cristián Infante, CEO of Arauco, has been named Fastmarkets’ Latin American CEO of the Year for 2026. The award will be presented during the annual Fastmarkets Forest Products Latin America Conference, taking place in Brazil from August 10–12.
The recognition is determined by the region’s leading investment analysts and portfolio managers specializing in the Latin American forestry sector. It reflects both Arauco’s strong financial performance and its long-term strategic vision in a challenging global environment.
“It is an honor to be recognized by the analysts who know this industry best and who acknowledge the direction we have set for the company. More than an achievement, however, I see it as a responsibility – to continue strengthening Arauco’s long-term position and to meet the expectations that the market has placed in us,” said Infante.
Arauco’s Sucuriú Project in Brazil played a significant role in this recognition, as it has been received with considerable optimism by the market. Analysts view the project as a decisive step toward establishing Arauco among the world’s leading pulp suppliers, reinforcing the company’s capacity for sustained long-term growth.
The award will be presented in São Paulo on August 11 during a special session in which Infante will share his perspective on the future of the industry and Arauco’s global growth strategy.
