Discontinuation of Italy rotogravure SC, LWC, MWC prices and Germany, France rotogravure LWC prices

Fastmarkets has discontinued its price assessments for rotogravure super-calendared (SC) paper, rotogravure lightweight coated (LWC) paper and rotogravure mediumweight coated (MWC) paper in Italy, to reflect changes in the printing market there.

It also discontinued its price assessments for rotogravure lightweight coated (LWC) paper prices in Germany and France, and for rotogravure mediumweight coated (MWC) paper in Germany, to reflect similar changes.

The decision to discontinue these assessments reflects changes in the printing market in Italy, as well as changes in the European paper market due to consolidation and a consequent lack of liquidity.

The last assessments for the SC, LWC and MWC rotogravure grades in Italy were published on June 19, 2025, while the last assessments for the LWC and MWC rotogravure grades in Germany and France were published on July 17.
