The eight assessments will cover the United States for tissue jumbo/parent rolls made from wood pulp and recycled pulp for both retail and away-from-home markets.
The new prices will replace the price estimates currently published in Fastmarkets’ US Tissue Monthly Data report and will be a part of the Fastmarkets tissue package. The new prices will appear on Fastmarkets dashboard under “Tissue” and will not be part of the Pulp & Paper Week newsletter.
The decision follows a one-month consultation period that ended on Friday June 5.
The specifications for the price assessment are as follows:
FP-TS-0013 Tissue, wood pulp jumbo rolls for toilet tissue, conventional, 13.5-16.5 g/square meter (8.5-10 lb), fob mill USA
Location: United States
Incoterm: FOB mill
Quantity: Minimum 15 short tons
Unit & Currency: US dollar per short ton
Specification: Prices are for tonnage considering regular reels with one (1) ply, a width between 101 inches and 102 inches (approximately 2.6 m), a diameter between 1.4 m and 2.5 m and a core between 10 and 12 inches
Delivery period: Orders taken in the month to date for shipment in the current month or the following month
Payment terms: Assume normal and customary payment terms, excluding taxes
Price Type: Net. Includes open-market transactions in continuing supply relationships. Excludes transactions between affiliates and transactions indexed to a published price
Assessment Type: Range price assessment
Data window: In the month prior to publication and month up to publication.
Frequency: Monthly, usually in the second week of the month
Notes: Furnish 100% wood, conventional quality, usually produced with dry crepe tissue (DCT) technology
