Fastmarkets proposes to amend frequency of Aluminium 6063 extrusion billet premium, ddp Spain

Fastmarkets is proposing to change the frequency of its aluminium 6063 extrusion billet premium, ddp Spain assessment to weekly from the current bi-weekly frequency, effective August 21, 2026.

The proposal is in response to increased price volatility observed by Fastmarkets and a liquid spot market.

The proposed new specification for the price is as follows, with the amendments in italics:

MB-AL-0299 Aluminium 6063 extrusion billet premium, ddp Spain, $/tonne
Quality: Extrusion billet AA6063. Billet with diameter of 6”, 7” and 8”
Quantity: Min 100 tonnes
Location: Delivered in Spain (Bilbao region), duty-paid premium on top of LME cash prices
Timing: Within 3 months
Unit: USD/tonne
Payment terms: 60-day payment terms, other payment terms normalized
Publication: Weekly; Friday 3-4pm London time
Notes: Inclusive of CBAM certificate costs, effective January 1, 2026
