Global markets stabilized on the morning of Tuesday June 26 amid easing trade tensions, while three-month base metals prices on the London Metal Exchange consolidated after their weakness on Monday.

Base metals prices on the London Metal Exchange are up by an average of 0.5% this morning, Monday September 11, with prices ranged between up by 1.2% for zinc and down by 0.1% for tin – three-month copper prices are up by 0.4% at $6,710 per tonne.

Base metals prices on the London Metal Exchange are starting the week on a weak footing with prices down by an average of 1.5% this morning, Monday November 27.

Three-month base metals prices on the London Metal Exchange were mixed during morning trading on Tuesday July 17, with aluminium and lead prices down 0.1% and 0.2% respectively, while the rest of the metals were up between 0.4% for nickel and tin and 0.6% for copper. The three-month copper price recently was quoted at $6,228 per tonne.

A correction is underway in the three-month base metals prices traded on the London Metal Exchange with prices off by an average of 0.5% on the morning of Thursday February 21, compared with Wednesday’s closing levels.

Three-month base metals prices on the London Metal Exchange were for the most part weaker on the morning of Thursday June 21, with the complex down by an average of 0.2%. Nickel, up by 0.3% at $15,000 per tonne, was the exception. Copper was off by 0.3% at $6,797 per tonne.

Flat steel prices in Turkey continued to fall in May, on moderate demand, and market participants expect June to be just as slow, as the Islamic holy month of Ramadan, and Eid will take place during the month.

Base metals prices are for the most part firmer this morning, Wednesday January 18, with prices up an average of 0.4%.

Base metals prices are firmer by an average of 0.3% this morning, Wednesday January 11, with three-month copper prices leading with a 0.6% gain to $5,778 per tonne, aluminium prices are up 0.5%, zinc prices are up 0.4%, nickel prices are up 0.2%, while the rest are little changed.

Most of the base metals prices are weaker this morning, Wednesday May 31, the exception is three-month copper prices on the London Metal Exchange that are up 0.3% at $5,677 per tonne. The other LME metals are down an average of 0.6%, although that is skewed by a 2.4% decline in nickel prices to $8,890 per tonne.
