Correction to North American Wood Fiber and Biomass prices for January 1, 2025

Fastmarkets has corrected its three wood fiber and biomass comparative prices for the US Northeast region, which were published incorrectly for January 1, 2025. The US South Atlantic regional comparative prices published against that date were not affected.

Due to a procedural error, the latest prices for the US Northeast region was not incorporated into the comparative prices for the quarter. This impacted the calculations for the three markets below.

FP-CHP-0036 Chips, Hardwood, delivered US Northeast, Comparative Regional Price, USD/GT, which was published incorrectly at $50 per gross ton. This has been corrected to $48 per ton.

FP-RWD-0025 Roundwood, Hardwood, delivered US Northeast, Comparative Regional Price, USD/GT, which was published incorrectly at $50 per gross ton, this has been corrected to $51 per ton.

FP-RWD-0029 Roundwood, Softwood, delivered US Northeast, Comparative Regional Price, USD/GT, which was incorrectly published at $53 per gross ton. This has been corrected to $51 per ton.

Fastmarkets’ pricing database has been updated to reflect this change.
