Karim El-Afany
European Regional Managing Editor
Karim brings over a decade of experience in commodity and equity markets and currently manages the EMEA agriculture and biofuel team at Fastmarkets.
Previously at S&P Global Commodity Insights, Karim covered and managed pricing benchmark teams for over five years in the Agriculture, Biofuels, European natural gas, and LNG commodity sectors. Prior to joining S&P Global, Karim worked in the finance industry as an investment and equity analyst for over five years, covering Middle East-listed fertilizers, chemicals, and refinery companies.
Karim holds a BA in Economics and International Development from the University of Liverpool, and an MSc in Economics from the School of Oriental and African Studies (SOAS), university of London.
