Paul Lusty
Head of battery raw materials
Paul Lusty is head of battery raw materials research at Fastmarkets, where he leads a global team of analysts that provide market analysis, short- and long-term forecasts, cost assessment and consultancy on lithium, cobalt, graphite, nickel, manganese, copper, recycling and black mass, and battery manufacturing and cell costs. Paul’s focus is on understanding and forecasting these markets to help our customers navigate volatility and provide them with a strategic advantage. With extensive experience in economic geology, the mining and metals industry and critical mineral supply chains, Paul spent much of his career at the British Geological Survey, holding the roles of Head of Critical Raw Materials, and most recently Director of the UK Critical Minerals Intelligence Centre, where he advised government and industry on assessing and building mineral supply chain resilience.
