Shalina Cao

Shalina Cao is a pricing reporter in the Asia ferroalloys team at Fastmarkets, based in Shanghai. Prior to that, she was an award-winning journalist and TV reporter specializing in politics and international affairs. She had a master’s degree in political journalism from Columbia Journalism School, where her work focused on Chinese and U.S. politics and business reporting. In May 2025, she received the Jean Anderson Award Honorable Mention for the best local feature story for covering immigration in New York. she is also a recipient of the Murray g. and Beatrice h. Sherman scholarship, awarded for excellence in journalism.
