The 2026 agenda is structured around the issues that most directly affect commercial performance. Sessions prioritise pricing mechanics, margin pressure, feedstock constraints and trade dynamics, helping participants understand not just what is changing, but how those changes impact contracts, operations and investment decisions.
Alongside Fastmarkets market analysis, the program brings in traders, refiners, airlines, policymakers and certification specialists to provide real world context. This mix of perspectives ensures discussions reflect how regulation, sustainability requirements and market shifts are playing out on the ground.
Policy sessions are framed around commercial outcomes, examining how developments such as 45Z, LCFS and RFS influence competitiveness, pricing structures and trade flows across the Americas. Technical workshops and deep dives provide practical tools that participants can apply immediately.
Used cooking oil, animal fats and residues now underpin renewable diesel and biodiesel growth, intensifying feedstock competition across North America.
Capacity expansion continues to outpace feedstock availability, reshaping trade flows and pricing dynamics across the Americas.
Tax credits and airline offtake agreements are accelerating SAF scale up, shifting production from pilot projects to commercial fuel.
Transport decarbonisation policies and low carbon fuel standards are sustaining long term demand across biodiesel, renewable diesel and SAF.
This paid add-on workshop must be selected during registration and offers a hands on deep dive into carbon intensity calculation, lifecycle analysis modelling, regulatory scoring, and the practical steps required to prepare for 45Z, LCFS, and RFS compliance.
Through real world examples and applied exercises, participants will explore emerging digital traceability tools, data integration challenges, and how to build audit ready reporting systems that stand up across jurisdictions.
Attendees will leave with a clearer understanding of how to quantify emissions, reduce CI scores, and future proof compliance workflows in an increasingly complex regulatory environment.

Sustainable Advanced Biofuel Refiners (www.sabrcoalition.org) is a coalition of members that built out America’s first advanced biofuel—biodiesel. Biodiesel is the most cost-effective means to reduce greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions from heavy-duty vehicles, providing numerous economic, environmental, and performance benefits. It is sustainably sourced from agricultural products like soybean oil, animal fat, and used cooking oil. SABR represents every link in the value chain from farmers to biodiesel producers, distributors, retailers, and consumers, and infrastructure/products/services suppliers.SABR members have invested heavily in meeting the nation’s goals of the Renewable Fuel Standard. SABR is supportive of all biofuels including renewable diesel and SAF and strives to grow the RFS program. However, because these newer fuels have been improperly categorized as “biodiesel” in the biomass-based diesel category – as these fuels come online, they don’t displace any new carbon. They displace lower carbon biodiesel at a higher cost to taxpayers and consumers. These policy flaws are fixable. SABR’s top four priorities are:
1. Extend the Blender’s tax credit (40A) to buy time to fix the fundamental flaws in the Clean Transportation Production Credit (45Z) and get the implementing regulations in place.2. Increase volumes to at least 5.25 billion gallons in the 2026 RVOs.3. Make Jet fuel an obligated fuel, consistent with the all-of-government SAF Grand Challenge, and create an RVO category for SAF to address this new obligation.4. Fix the inflated equivalence values for RD and SAF to account for them consistent with other biofuels including biodiesel and ethanol.
Making these four modest policy adjustments would put all biofuels on a more level playing field and allow investments in new fuels to grow the RFS to reduce more carbon rather than just cannibalize previous decarbonization investments in the ground transportation sector.
