Markus has significant industrial and international business experience. He started his career at McKinsey & Company, working on numerous operational and strategic projects across a variety of industries. Markus went on to join Novelis AG, where he held various roles in strategy and sales with growing responsibility until he became the head of one of Novelis’ three businesses as Vice President & General Manager Specialities. In this capacity, he was responsible for a diverse range of applications, including consumer packaging solutions and industrial products.

Stefano Rossi joined DS Smith in 2012 after spending more than 20 years in the paper business. In 2014, took over the role of Divisional Chief Executive Officer for the Packaging Division of DS Smith, the leading global provider of sustainable fibre-based packaging worldwide, supported by recycling and papermaking operations. The packaging division is the largest within the company with approximately 25,000 people, over 200 manufacturing sites in thirty-four countries, including fulfilment services in Europe, Asia, and the United States. Born in Lucca, Italy, Stefan holds a University Degree in Pulp and Paper Technology and a Master Course in Chemical Engineering and started working in the Packaging industry from 1988 for SCA which later became DS Smith as a part of that firm’s expansion in 2012. In Paper he covered all roles, from operations, to sales and marketing, and finally appointed to CEO of the Paper division in 2010. DS Smith was the first packaging company to recycle more waste than it produces, and innovating sustainable new materials and design is a key driver for the leadership team who are dedicated in their commitment to ensuring that products function within the principles of a circular economy and are intended for reuse from inception. By 2023, the e-commerce industry is predicted to be worth more than $6.5bn, with increasing demand for brand new, intelligent, and innovative sustainable packaging solutions.

Sevinç Yener Çimecioğlu has almost 30 years' experience in executive management with broad expertise in manufacturing, change management, company integration, culture change, lean management, labor relations, and employee engagement in several multinational companies. She holds a BSc in Industrial Engineering from Boğaziçi University and obtained her master's degree from the same institution. She worked at Delphi Automotive Systems Turkey for 15 years in managerial positions including project management, quality, manufacturing, and plant manager of one of its three production plants in Turkey, then as the director of Turkish production control and logistics operations. She then moved on to Magna Automotive Corporation's Exteriors-Interiors Division as a General Manager, establishing its operations in Turkey during 2008-2011. Yener switched from automotive to textile packaging in 2011, becoming the General Manager of Greif FPS Turkey where she integrated its newly acquired Turkish manufacturing operations. From 2016 to 2018 Yener worked as a freelance consultant on projects for multinational companies, harnessing her manufacturing know-how, such as up-sizing, down-sizing, developing new manufacturing sites, cultural change, and lean management. Since 2028 Yener has been the CEO of Mondi Corrugated Turkey, formerly known as Mondi Tire Kutsan, operating seven box plants, one paper mill, and one recycling facility. She is a board member. She recently joined the 'Women on Board Association" In 2019 she received the "Turkey's 50 Powerful Female CEOs" award by Capital and Ekonomist, and in 2020 received the "Fortune Turkey 50 Most Powerful Business Women" award. She is the two-time winner of the 50 Most Admired CEOs of Turkey category at the Golden Leader Awards in 2022 and 2023.

Since 2016 CEO of RDM Group, the leading producer of recycled cartonboard in Europe. After the Master Degree in Chemical Engineering from Pisa University, Mr Bianchi started his professional career in the packaging sector in Svenska Cellulosa Aktiebolaget-SCA, acquired in 2012 by DS Smith, the leading provider of corrugated packaging in Europe. After 14 years in SCA and 3 in DS Smith, with 8 different job positions and seven years of experience at European level, since November 2016 Michele Bianchi has been CEO of RDM Group. Today, Mr Bianchi has a rooted and valuable knowledge of packaging sector dynamics and trends, and he has developed extensive skills in the management of complex organizations. He also holds important institutional roles: he is President of Pro Carton, President of CEPI Cartonboard and President of Federazione Carta Grafica.

13 years’ experience in the waste and recycling industry with DS Smith, in a mix of commercial, project and specialist roles and in the position of Head of Sustainability, Recyclability & Gov’t Affairs in the Recycling Division for the past 3 years. Experience in managing commercial contracts, business development and material sales of fibre and plastics, as well as operational improvement projects. Now focussed largely on delivery of our Now & Next Sustainability Strategy, working with brands and producers on recyclability of fibre-based packaging placed on the market, government affairs and policy related activities, and thought leadership campaigns. I’m passionate about improving the environment in which we live in and playing my part in the circular economy by promoting solutions for keeping resources in use longer.

Jori Ringman is Director General of the Confederation of European Paper Industries (Cepi) since June 2019. Previously he was Deputy Director General and responsible for issues relating to sustainability, environment and consumer protection, with particular concern for packaging and food contact. Since joining Cepi in 2005 he has been advancing and exploring circular low carbon bioeconomy in the sector. Prior to 2005, he was a civil servant at the European Commission and a political advisor in the European Parliament. Mr Ringman has a background in Economics, Econometrics and Business Management and broad experience in communications, public administration and politics. He also holds an MSc in Environmental Decision-making.

Frank Heidlberger is Global Packaging Director and part of the Global Supply Chain organization at McDonald’s. Frank provides strategic direction and oversight to the McDonald’s global packaging category. He leads an external global team responsible for holistic Packaging category management including Sourcing, Product Development & Innovation, and Sustainability. His past 5 years were very much influenced by the shifting category dynamics in Packaging. Together with McDonald´s Sustainability experts Frank was instrumental in the development of the Packaging & Recycling pillar of McDonald´s Global Sustainability Strategy with the goal to drive circularity. Frank is leading McDonald´s global transformation of the single-use Packaging category and their global commitment to source 100% of their guest packaging from renewable, recycled or certified sources by 2025. Together with other functional leads he established global reusable standards at McDonald´s that assure compliance with legislative requirements. Frank is passionate to transition the Packaging Category to a Circular Economy & Waste Management Category. In this context he is in particular focusing on establishing structures that enable better collaboration not only between internal functions and packaging suppliers but as well among brands and different industries as it requires many stakeholders to continually reduce waste and increase recycling.

Harald Ganster, MD of Hamburger Containerboard, born in Wiener Neustadt, Austria, holds an MBA from California State University, Hayward and studied engineering in Austria. After several years in tissue and specialty paper industry he took over the position Mill Manager of Hamburger Austria in 1991. Since that time he has developed the Hamburger Containerboard Division to the current size of 2,5 million tons capacity. In 2009 he took over responsibility for the whole Containerboard Division as Managing Director. Since November 2021: Speaker of the Board of Prinzhorn Holding Group, Managing Director for Prinzhorn Holding. Harald Ganster is married to Susanne Ganster and they have one daughter.

Orhan OBiicii was born in 1956 in Gaziantep. He completed his high school education in Gaziantep and graduated from the University of Manchester with a degree in Mechanical Engineering. Mr. Ogiicii began his professional career at Giineydogu Iplik Sanayi. From 1978 to 1980, he served as a Lecturer at Middle East Technical University's Gaziantep campus. In 1984, he took part in the establishment of Marmara Pamuklu Mensucat and continued to work at the management level of the company until 2007. With the founding of Lila Kagit in 2007, he has been serving as the Chairman of the Board. Throughout different periods, he has been a member of the Board of Directors for the TOBB Paper Products Council and the Cellulose and Paper Industry Foundation. Eleni Despotou is the Director General of FEFCO since Feb. 2021. She has a long-standing experience of more than 20 years in Public Affairs and industry association management. Before joining FEFCO, she has worked at United Nations, European Commission and hold various responsibility positions at the Solar Power Europe and Industrial Minerals industries’ association, notably advocating at the highest EU and global levels. Mike Turner is the Managing Director of the European Carton Makers Association (ECMA) who are the ‘voice’ of the European carton sector, representing 500+ companies with 80,000 staff, he is also Chair of the ‘Fibre Packaging Europe’ coalition and represents the Packaging Converters on the Steering Committee of fibre packaging’s ‘4evergreen Alliance’. Mr Turner joined ECMA in September 2019 from Graphic Packaging International, where he served as Managing Director of their EMEA Foodservice Packaging business. Prior to that, Mr Turner spent 14 years with International Paper, working in positions of increasing responsibility culminating in the position of Managing Director of their EMEA Foodservice Packaging Business and Senior Lead Team member of their Global Foodservice Packaging Business. Prior to that, Mr Turner spent 10 years with M-Real, a Scandinavian paper mill and merchant group. He has real-world insight into geopolitical economic analysis, international trade issues, country risk analysis, and the legal and regulatory environment, along with the forest products industry. Natasha is a Utrecht-based analyst working for the F&A Packaging and Logistics. Prior to joining Rabobank in 2016, Natasha worked as a Markets and Supply Chains researcher at LEI Wageningen University. In this position, she conducted research on a wide range of F&A sectors, such as poultry and dairy, as well as on a number of overarching food supply chain themes, like food safety. Natasha started her career in 1999 as Quality Assurance Manager at a baby food production plant (part of Royal Numico) in Moscow. From there, she moved to the Netherlands to work on her Ph.D. at Wageningen University, focusing on the economics of food safety and traceability in the Dutch dairy chain. During this period, she was also a visiting researcher in the US and Australia. In addition to her Ph.D., Natasha holds a MSc in Agricultural Economics from the Russian State Agricultural University (Moscow Timiryazev Agricultural Academy).
