There is an exclusive opportunity to tour Lohum’s lithium-ion battery recycling facilities, a flagship of sustainable, high-tech lithium refining in India. Located approximately 100 km from New Delhii (~1.5 hours by bus), this significant facility is India’s first battery-grade lithium refinery with an annual production capacity of 1,000 metric tonnes.

Lohum’s mission is to become the world’s largest producer of sustainable Li-ion battery raw materials through recycling, repurposing, and low-carbon refining. Lohum recycles and repurposes lithium-ion batteries and produces sustainable energy transition materials. It is India’s largest producer in this sector and focuses on a circular economy model for batteries, aiming to reduce the dependency on mining for critical minerals. Their integrated process includes recycling, low-carbon refining, and repurposing end-of-life batteries for a second life.
10:00 – Meet at the Hotel Lobby of The Taj Palace, New Delhi

11:00 – Welcome from Lohum, guided tour, refreshments and group photograph
Delegates will be given a guided tour of the Recycling Lab, largely used for hydrometallurgical recycling, and the Materials Lab, which focuses predominantly on materials generation and direct repairing. This tour will be delivered in English.
14:00 – Coach returns to The Taj Palace, New Delhi with an estimated arrival time of 16:00
