Amendment to frequency of ferro-niobium price assessment

After a consultation period, Fastmarkets has amended the frequency of its price assessment for MB-FN-0001 ferro-niobium, 63-67%, delivered consumer works, dp Europe, $ per kg Nb, to twice weekly from once per week.

This more frequent price assessment will help Fastmarkets better capture spot dynamics amid rising liquidity and market activity.

Fastmarkets did not receive any direct responses to this consultation, but has previously received extensive feedback from the ferro-alloys market supporting this change.

Effective Friday August 1, this price will be published on Wednesdays and Fridays. Previously, it was published weekly on Wednesdays.

The new specifications are as follows, with the amendment in italics:

Quality: 10-50mm lump. Nb 63-67%, C 0.2% max, Si 3.0% max, Al 1-2%, S 0.15% max, P 0.20% max, Ta 0.5% max
Quantity: Minimum 5-tonne lots
Location: Delivered consumer works Europe
Unit: USD per kg Nb
Payment terms: Cash. Other payment terms normalized
Publication: Twice weekly, Wednesday and Friday at 2-3pm London time
Notes: Packaged in 250kg drums or one-tonne big bags.
