Amendment to frequency of four European copper cathode premiums: pricing notice

After a consultation period, Fastmarkets has amended the pricing frequency of four European copper cathode premiums – grade A delivered Germany; grade A, CIF Leghorn; grade A, CIF Rotterdam; and the copper EQ cathode premium, CIF Europe.

Following the consultation, which ended on Tuesday December 30, Fastmarkets has amended the frequency from fortnightly to weekly, on Tuesdays, with the first publication on a weekly basis taking place on December 30.

The new specifications are listed below, with the amended frequency in italics

MB-CU-0369 Copper grade A cathode premium, cif Rotterdam, $ per tonne
Quality: Grade A cathode 99.9935% min copper conforming to LME specifications BS EN 1978:1998 – Cu[1]CATH-1
Quantity: Min 25 tonnes
Location: CIF delivery in Rotterdam, duty unpaid premium on top of LME cash prices
Timing: Within 4 weeks
Unit: USD per tonne
Payment terms: Cash, other payment terms normalized
Publication:Weekly. Tuesday, 3-4pm London time

Following the consultation, the quantity for MB-CU-0406 Copper grade A cathode premium, CIF Leghorn, has also been clarified as a minimum of 25 tonnes.

In the pricing notice published December 12 the introductory paragraph did not state the copper grade A cathode premium, CIF Rotterdam would be included in the change to pricing frequency, although that premium is mentioned later in the same pricing notice.

Full information on the change of specifications for copper EQ cathode premium, cif Europe were also not included in the notice on December 12, but they have been included in this notice.
