METALS MORNING VIEW 06/10: Base metals consolidate Thursday’s gains
Base metals prices on the London Metal Exchange are broadly lower this morning, Friday October 6, with losses ranging between 0.1% for aluminium and 0.3% for lead. Nickel and copper prices are bucking the trend, however, with three-month nickel prices once again leading on the upside with a 0.9% gain to $10,650 per tonne, while copper prices are up by 0.1% to $6,698 per tonne.

Base metals prices on the London Metal Exchange are for the most part little changed this morning, Thursday October 5. The main exceptions are nickel prices that are up by 0.6% at $10,640 per tonne and tin prices that are off by 0.2% at $20,755 per tonne, while the rest are between plus and minus 0.1%, with three-month copper prices up by 0.1% at $6,517 per tonne.

Base metals prices, with the exception of tin, on the London Metal Exchange are up by an average of 0.4% this morning, Wednesday October 4, with gains ranged between 0.2% for copper ($6,528 per tonne) and 0.6% for lead ($2,615 per tonne), while tin prices are little changed at $20,755 per tonne. With China on holiday all week, volume has been light with 1,851 lots traded as of 07:03 BST.
