Correction to alumina index and inferred prices on December 17

Fastmarkets has corrected the MB-ALU-0002 Alumina index, fob Australia, $/tonne, which was published incorrectly on Wednesday December 17 due to a procedural lapse. Fastmarkets has also corrected the index's rationale and all related inferred indices.

Fastmarkets’ pricing database has been updated to reflect this change.

The MB-ALU-0002 alumina index, fob Australia, $/tonne was published in error as $310.90 per dry metric tonne. It has been corrected to $309.67 per dmt.

The MB-ALU-0019 alumina index inferred, fob Indonesia, $/tonne was published in error as $315.90 per dmt. This has been corrected to $314.67 per dmt.

The MB-ALU-0018 alumina index inferred, fob India, $/tonne was published in error as $316.90 per dmt. This has been corrected to $315.67 per dmt.

The MB-ALU-0020 alumina index inferred, fob Vietnam, $/tonne was published in error as $312.90 per dmt. This has been corrected to $311.67 per dmt.

The MB-ALU-0010 alumina index inferred, fob Brazil, $/dmt was published in error as $336.73 per dmt. This has been corrected to $335.50 per dmt.

These prices are part of the Fastmarkets Base Metals package.

The rationale for MB-ALU-0002 had erroneously stated “Index at $310.90/t, up from $309.17/t in the previous session.” This has been corrected to “Index at $309.67/t, up from $309.17/t in the previous session.”
