Delayed publication of EU alloy steel scrap prices

The publication of Fastmarkets’ EU alloy steel scrap price assessments for Wednesday December 24 was delayed because of a procedural lapse.

Fastmarkets’ pricing database has been updated, and the market averages have also been updated accordingly.

The following assessments were published late:

MB-STS-0011 Stainless steel scrap 304 (18/8), turnings, domestic, delivered merchant UK, £/tonne

MB-STS-0261 Stainless steel scrap 316 solids, delivered merchant Europe, €/tonne

MB-STS-0262 Stainless steel scrap 316 turnings, delivered merchant Europe, €/tonne

MB-STS-0009 Stainless steel scrap, grade 304 (18/8), turnings, delivered merchant Europe, €/tonne

MB-STS-0259 Stainless steel scrap 316 solids domestic, delivered merchants UK, £/tonne

MB-STS-0260 Stainless steel scrap 316 turnings domestic, delivered merchants UK, £/tonne

MB-STS-0013 Stainless steel scrap 12-13% Cr solids domestic, delivered merchants UK, £/tonne

MB-STS-0014 Stainless steel scrap 16-17% Cr solids domestic, delivered merchants UK, £/tonne

Prices were correctly assessed within the assessment window on December 24 but were not published on time.

These prices are a part of the Fastmarkets scrap package.

Fastmarkets has launched three weekly wheat freight rate assessments — Ukraine-Egypt, CVB-Egypt and Russia-Saudi Arabia — and has clarified that its existing Black Sea-North Africa freight assessment refers to the Russia-Egypt route and its Black Sea-Persian Gulf assessment refers to the Russia-Iran route.
