EU to set 13.4-34.6% provisional anti-dumping duty on CR stainless steel from India, Indonesia

The European Commission (EC) will set provisional anti-dumping duties of 13.40-34.60% on cold-rolled stainless steel from India and Indonesia, the EC said on Friday April 30.

The tariffs will not come into force until European authorities publish a full document regarding preliminary measures in the Official Journal of the European Union.

The EC calculated preliminary anti-dumping duties on products from India at 13.40% for Jindal Stainless and Jindal Stainless Hisar, with duties of 34.60% for Chromeni Steels and all other companies.

Duties for suppliers from Indonesia have been calculated at 19.90% for IRNC and at 20.20% for Jindal Stainless Indonesia and all other companies.

The provisional measures are scheduled to be announced by May 31, 2021, with definitive measures, if any, expected to be set by October 29 this year.

The EC initiated anti-dumping proceedings concerning imports of CR stainless steel products in September 2020.
