Fastmarkets launches cookstove and landfill gas CCP carbon credit assessments

Fastmarkets has launched five core carbon principle (CCP) carbon credit price assessments, covering landfill gas and cookstove projects, on Tuesday April 28.

A growing pipeline of credits eligible for the Integrity Council for the Voluntary Carbon Market’s (ICVCM) CCPs has started to emerge, particularly among these two project types, and these new prices aim to bring transparency to this market and the associated premium with the tag.

Buyers have been increasingly looking at either ratings or CCPs when preparing requests for proposals (RfPs) creating a new baseline for quality in the market, while developers are looking for robust price signals when deciding whether to target CCPs during project implementation.

The prices are:
CB-CC-0036 Landfill Gas CCP, Turkey, $/tCO2e
CB-CC-0037 Landfill Gas CCP, China, $/tCO2e
