PRICING NOTICE: Amendment of publication date of manganese ore inventories assessments at Chinese ports of Tianjin and Qinzhou

From Monday May 13, Fastmarkets MB will publish the assessment of manganese ore inventories at the main Chinese ports of Tianjin and Qinzhou on Mondays, instead of Wednesdays previously.

The change was initially meant to take effect on Monday May 6 following a one-month consultation over the whole of April, taking into account the May 1-3 Labor Day break in China. But this was postponed for another week due to a public holiday in the United Kingdom on Monday May 6.

As such, this week’s update for manganese ore inventory data at the ports of Tianjin and Qinzhou will still be made on Wednesday.

The manganese ore inventory assessment is an important indicator of market fundamentals and its volatile changes have attracted growing attention over the past few years. Fastmarkets MB intends to publish the data earlier in the week in response to initial feedback that market participants are keen to be notified of manganese ore inventory changes sooner.

The data will continue to be collected over the full proceeding week for each assessment.

Fastmarkets MB has no financial interest in the level or direction of the assessment.
