Proposal to amend publication time, holiday pricing schedule for spherical graphite FOB China assessment

The proposed amendment will change the publication time for MB-GRA-0036 graphite spherical 99.95% 15-17 microns, fob China, $/tonne from weekly at 4pm London time to weekly at 5-6pm Shanghai time, as well as to be aligned with the Chinese pricing calendar, to ensure that they reflect the liquidity of China’s mainstream spherical graphite spot market at ports more accurately.

The new publication time would be as follows, with amendments in italics:

MB-GRA-0036 graphite spherical 99.95%, 15-17 microns, fob China, $/tonne
Quality: 99.95% C, 15-17 microns, uncoated
Quantity: Min 20 tonnes
Location: fob China
Unit: US$ per tonne
Publication: Weekly, Thursday by 5-6pm Shanghai

The price is a part of the Fastmarkets industrial minerals package.

The consultation period for this proposed amendment starts from Thursday June 25 and will end on Friday August 7. The amendment will then take place, subject to market feedback, on Thursday August 13. Price reporting holiday schedule will be updated accordingly once the changes take effect.
