Proposal to launch four price assessments for tissue jumbo rolls in China

Fastmarkets proposes to launch four monthly price assessments for tissue jumbo rolls delivered to China on Friday April 3.

The four assessments cover four provinces, Shandong, Hebei, Guangxi, and Sichuan, for tissue jumbo rolls made from wood pulp and a mix of wood pulp and non-wood fiber in a basis weight range of 11.5-17 g/square meter.

China is the largest global producer and consumer of tissue products. Due to urbanization and rising living standards, the country’s tissue market is experiencing significant growth in capacity and export, positioning it as a focal point for the international pulp and paper industry.

The proposed specifications are as follows:

Tissue, wood pulp-furnished jumbo rolls, 15-17 g/square meter, delivered, Shandong, yuan/tonne
Quantity: Min 10 tonnes
Location: Delivered to Shandong
Timing: Orders taken in the month to date for shipment in the current month or the following month.
Unit: Yuan per tonne
Payment terms:Assume normal and customary payment terms, including taxes.
Publication: Monthly, usually in the first week of the month, 2pm Beijing time.
Notes: Furnish: 100% wood. Prices are for tonnage considering regular reels with a width between 2.7 m and 2.85 m, a diameter between 1.1 m and 1.5 m and a core around 3 inches.

Timing:Orders taken in the month to date for shipment in the current month or the following month.
Unit:Yuan per tonne
Payment terms:Assume normal and customary payment terms, including taxes.
Publication:Monthly, usually in the first week of the month, 2 pm Beijing time.
Notes:Furnish: Mixed wood and bagasse pulp. Prices are for tonnage considering regular reels with a width between 2.7 m and 2.85 m, a diameter between 1.1 m and 1.5 m and a core around 3 inches.

These prices will be a part of the Fastmarkets pulp package.

The consultation period for this proposed launch starts from February 16, 2026, and will end on March 16. The launch will take place, subject to market feedback, on April 3.
