Proposal to launch price assessment for stainless steel EU domestic cold-rolled sheet, 2mm, grade 316

Fastmarkets proposes to launch a monthly price assessment for stainless steel cold-rolled sheet, 2mm, grade 316, transaction domestic, delivered North Europe.

The proposed price will expand Fastmarkets’ coverage of the flat stainless steel market in Europe by complementing the price assessment for MB-STS-0281 stainless steel cold-rolled sheet, 2mm, grade 304, transaction domestic, delivered North Europe.

The proposal follows preliminary discussions with the market and coincides with a proposal to discontinue the assessment of the base price for grade 316 stainless steel cold-rolled sheet, 2mm.

The proposed price specifications are as follows:

Stainless steel cold-rolled sheet, 2mm, grade 316, transaction domestic, delivered North Europe, € per tonne
Quality: AISI 316 EN 1.4401 ASTM 316, width 1,500-2,000mm, thickness 2mm, length: 1,000-3,000mm
Quantity: 10-1,000 tonnes
Location: Delivered Northern Europe
Timing: Minimum 4 weeks
Unit: EUR per tonne
Payment terms: Standard 30-60 days after invoice date
Publication: Monthly. First Friday of each month, 2-3pm London time.

This price will be a part of the Fastmarkets Steel Physicals package.

The consultation period for this proposed launch starts on Friday June 13 and will end on Tuesday July 15. The launch will take place, subject to market feedback, on Friday August 1.
