Fastmarkets proposes to increase the frequency of its steel hot-rolled coil domestic Northern Europe price from weekly to daily, and to change the price from an assessment to an index.

The spot gold price was little changed during Asian morning trading on Wednesday January 10, with the yellow metal coming under pressure from a resurgent dollar and higher US bond yields.

The spot gold price managed a slight bounce during Asian morning trading session on Tuesday January 9, but expectations of more US interest rate increases this year continue to underpin the dollar, capping any significant gains in the yellow metal.
