Base metals traded on the London Metal Exchange are up across the board by an average of 0.4% this morning, Tuesday February 27.

First impressions are that we are off to a bullish start to the week, with the base metals prices on the London Metal Exchange up by an average of 0.6% this morning, Monday February 26.

Base metals traded on the London Metal Exchange are mixed this morning, Tuesday March 6, with lead, zinc and tin prices down by an average of 0.5%, while copper, aluminium and nickel prices are up by an average of 0.3%.

Base metals on the London Metal Exchange are recovering again this morning, Tuesday February 13, with prices up by an average of 0.7%. Copper ($6,924 per tonne) and nickel lead the way with gains of 0.9%, while lead is the laggard with a 0.3% increase.

Base metals prices on the London Metal Exchange are split into two camps with copper, aluminium and nickel prices up an average of 0.5% with three-month copper at $5,887 per tonne, while zinc, lead and tin prices are down an average of 0.2% – but volume has been light with 3,844 lots traded as of 06.43 BST.

Base metals prices on the London Metal Exchange seem to have found buying interest this morning, Monday February 12, with all of the base metals, except lead (-0.3%), showing gains averaging 1%. The three-month copper price leads the way with a 1.8% rally to $6,870 per tonne - this after a low last Friday of $6,733 per tonne.

Price gains inspired by the trade developments at the Group of Twenty (G20) summit over the weekend were sold into during afternoon trading on Monday December 3, but likewise the dips have been bought into again this morning.

Base metals prices on the London Metal Exchange are struggling to extend gains and are consolidating in high ground this morning, Thursday February 1. Copper ($7,073 per tonne), zinc, aluminium and nickel prices are off between 0.2% and 0.4%, while lead and tin prices are up by 0.2% and 0.1% respectively.

Three-month base metals prices on the London Metal Exchange were mixed in the morning of Wednesday December 5, with zinc and copper up by 0.4% and 0.3% respectively, while the rest of the complex was little changed or weaker.
