Three-month base metals prices on the London Metal Exchange consolidated on the morning of Friday June 8 amid concerns that the latest trade figures from China could stoke further trade tensions.

Base metals prices on the London Metal Exchange are at first sight looking quite mixed this morning, Friday February 2, with copper and lead in positive territory, tin unchanged and aluminium, zinc and nickel in negative territory.

Three-month base metals prices on the London Metal Exchange were down across the board by an average of 0.4%, with copper prices off by 0.9% at $6,768 per tonne.

After recent strong performances by the base metals traded on the London Metal Exchange, most prices started to consolidate at the beginning of the week and are down an average of 0.3% this morning, Tuesday February 26.

Base metals prices on the London Metal Exchange are mixed this morning, Friday January 26, with the complex up by an average of 0.2%.

The reopening of Chinese markets this morning, Monday October 9, after last week’s holiday has led to a fairly strong start to the week for the base metals, the exception being lead, which is the sole metal in negative territory.

Base metals prices remained on a back footing this morning, Monday July 16, with three-month prices on the London Metal Exchange down by an average of 0.7%. Prices are in low ground with US trade policy and slow/slowing global economic growth weighing on prices.

London Metal Exchange three-month base metals prices continue to produce sluggish price action, down 0.2% on average in the morning of Thursday March 28.

Three-month base metals prices on the London Metal Exchange were higher across the board by an average of 0.7% on the morning of Thursday September 20. For now, the market seems to be grateful that the latest round of tariffs from the United States stood at 10% and not the 25% initially threatened.

Nickel and copper prices on the London Metal Exchange are weaker by 0.9% and 0.5%, respectively, this morning, Thursday April 6, with three-month copper prices at $5,894 per tonne, while the rest of the metals are either little changed or off 0.1%.
