The base metals are rebounding this morning, Thursday April 13, after what has been a week or so of weaker prices.

The Taiwanese authorities have initiated anti-dumping and countervailing duty investigations into imports of various Chinese steel products, as part of an attempt to be exempted from United States Section 232 import tariffs.

Deliverable lead stocks at Shanghai Futures Exchange-approved warehouses declined by 2,892 tonnes or 8.5% over the past week to 31,110 tonnes as of Friday February 9, marking the biggest decline across the exchange’s base metals complex.
