Amendment to this week’s pricing schedule for Egypt steel billet index, rebar price

Fastmarkets is amending its pricing schedules for MB-STE-0516 steel billet, import, cfr Egypt, and MB-STE-0112 steel reinforcing bar (rebar), domestic, exw Egypt, for the week October 6-10, 2025.

The following prices will be published on Wednesday October 8 instead of their scheduled pricing day of October 9. This accommodates the change of Egypt’s Armed Forces Day public holiday from October 6 to October 9.

These prices would normally be priced the next working day, but will instead be priced on the preceding day rather than on Friday, which is not a working day in Egypt.

MB-STE-0516 steel billet, import, cfr Egypt, $ per tonne

MB-STE-0112 steel reinforcing bar (rebar), domestic, exw Egypt, E£ per tonne

Fastmarkets’ pricing holiday calendar has been updated to reflect these changes. You can find the pricing holiday calendar at this link.

These prices are part of the Fastmarkets steel package.
