Proposal to discontinue certain welded, seamless tube and pipe prices

Fastmarkets proposes to discontinue eight assessments for seamless and welded tube and pipe in Europe and Asia.

The proposal is due to subdued activity and a lack of available data in Europe and parts of Asia.

Fastmarkets proposes to discontinue the following prices:

MB-STE-0825 Europe welded Spiral DSAW linepipe API 5L X65 fob €/tonne
MB-STE-0823 Europe welded ERW linepipe API 5L X42 fob €/tonne
MB-STE-0834 India welded ERW linepipe API 5L X65 export fob US$/tonne
MB-STE-0807 Seamless mechanical tube (EN10297) fob Europe €/tonne
MB-STE-0808 Cold-drawn Seamless precision tube (EN10305) fob Europe €/tonne
MB-STE-0809 Seamless boiler tube (EN10216b) fob Europe €/tonne
MB-STE-0806 Seamless gas and water pipe (EN10255) fob Europe €/tonne
MB-STE-0835 India welded LSAW linepipe API 5L X65 export fob US$/tonne

These prices are a part of the Fastmarkets steel package.

The consultation period for this discontinuation starts December 22, 2025, and will end on March 20, 2026, with the change taking place, subject to market feedback, from April 8, 2026.

Fastmarkets has corrected its price and rationale for MB-STE-0028 steel hot-rolled coil index domestic, exw Northern Europe and the assessments for MB-STE-0905 green steel base price HRC exw Northern Europe, daily inferred and MB-STE-0912 flat steel reduced carbon emissions, daily inferred, exw Northern Europe, which were published incorrectly on Wednesday April 1.
