Fastmarkets changes Chinese UCO timestamps

Fastmarkets changed the timestamp for its daily used cooking oil flexi-tank, fob China and used cooking oil, bulk, fob China price assessments from 4:30pm London time to 4:30pm Singapore time effective Wednesday May 20, 2026, as a result of an open consultation.

Fastmarkets held an open consultation for the market to provide feedback and comments on its daily used cooking oil (UCO) prices.

With no feedback received during the consultation, Fastmarkets has updated the methodology to reflect the following:

AG-UCO-0015 Used cooking oil, flexi-tank, fob China, $/tonne
Quality: Free fatty acids (FFA) max. 15%, moisture, impurities and unsaponifiable matter (MIU) max 2%, iodine value (IV) min. 80 g iodine/hg, sulfur content max. 50 ppm
Quantity: Minimum 500 tonnes
Location: China, fob
Timing: Shipment within 45 days following date of sale
Unit: USD/tonne
Publication: Daily, 4:30pm Singapore time
 
AG-UCO-0014 Used cooking oil, bulk, fob China, $/tonne
Quality: Free fatty acids (FFA) max. 15%, moisture, impurities and unsaponifiable matter (MIU) max. 2%, iodine value (IV) min. 80 g iodine/hg, sulfur content max. 50 ppm
Quantity: Minimum 2,500 tonnes
Location: China, fob
Timing: Shipment within 45 days following date of sale
Unit: USD/tonne
Publication: Daily, 4:30pm Singapore time
