Correction to stainless steel scrap 409 bundles, solids, consumer buying price, delivered mill Pittsburgh

Please note Fastmarkets has corrected its MB-STS-0258 - Stainless steel scrap 409 bundles, solids, consumer buying price, delivered mill Pittsburgh, US cents/lb, which was published incorrectly on Monday September 11.

The price was incorrectly assessed at 0.0893 cents per lb at the low end of the range. This has been corrected on Friday September 15 to 8.93 cents per lb.

MB-STS-0258 – Stainless steel scrap 409 bundles, solids, consumer buying price, delivered mill Pittsburgh, US cents/lb is now correctly assessed at 8.93-10.27 cents per lb, as opposed to 0.0893-10.27 cents per lb. Fastmarkets’ pricing database have been updated to reflect this change.

Fastmarkets plans to change the timestamp of several of its agriculture prices linked to the Chicago Mercantile Exchange and MIAX Futures Exchange to align the time of publication with the exchanges’ settlement time. The change in timestamp will affect both premiums and outright prices that use those futures as an underlying benchmark, with the change to take effect on May 11.
