Fastmarkets proposes to amend publication times, holiday pricing schedule for Asian base metals assessments

Fastmarkets proposes to amend the publication times and holiday pricing schedule for a number of its base metal assessments for the Asian market, with the proposed changes to come into effect from Monday May 18.

The assessments, which currently follow the UK holiday calendar and are published in UK working hours, will follow the China or Singapore holiday calendars and will be published in China or Singapore working hours after the proposed change.

Additionally, Fastmarkets will add cut-off times for accepting data submission for several copper assessments.

The purpose of the adjustment is to align the timing to the activity in the relevant markets and ensure that subscribers receive timely and accurate pricing information.

The assessments affected, as well as the new publication times and holiday calendars, are shown in the table:

Prices that are assessed jointly in Asia and Europe will continue to follow the England and Wales holiday calendar.

The consultation period for these changes begins on Friday April 3, 2026, and will end on Monday May 11, with changes taking place, subject to market feedback, on Monday May 18. Price reporting holiday schedule will be updated accordingly once the changes take effect.

Please send any questions or comments by May 11 to pricing@fastmarkets.com and basemetals@fastmarkets.com. Please indicate if comments are confidential. Fastmarkets will consider all comments received and will make comments not marked as confidential available upon request.
