Stuart Evans
Chief analytics officer
Stuart is Chief Analytics Officer at Fastmarkets, where he leads the Economics and Analytics function and drives the expansion of modelling and intelligence across energy, metals and the climate transition. In this role, Stuart is responsible for enhancing analytics capabilities that support transparent pricing and decision-making across global commodity markets.
He previously led the development of
Fastmarkets’ Carbon offering
and, prior to joining Fastmarkets, was an Associate Partner at McKinsey & Company, where he helped build the firm’s carbon management service line. Stuart brings more than 15 years of experience in strategy, sustainability and carbon markets, with deep expertise in economic modelling and growth strategy.
A recognised expert in the climate transition, he has advised governments and been a frequent speaker on carbon markets and international climate issues at distinguished institutions and global events. Stuart holds a Master in Public Affairs from
Princeton University
, an Economics (Hons) degree from
the Australian National University
and dual degrees in Economics and Business from
the University of Newcastle.
