Correction to manganese ore semi carbonate index, 36.5% Mn, cif Tianjin

Fastmarkets has corrected its MB-MNO-0003 manganese ore semi carbonate index, 36.5% Mn, cif Tianjin, which was published incorrectly on Friday June 5 due to incorrect source data.

The MB-MNO-0003 Manganese ore semi carbonate index, 36.5% Mn, cif Tianjin, $ per dmtu was published in error as $4.75 per dry metric tonne unit. It has been corrected to $4.74 per dmtu.
 
The rationale for the same index on the same date was also updated to reflect this change. It erroneously stated that “Fastmarkets’ manganese ore semi-carbonate index, 36.5% Mn, cif Tianjin was $4.75 per dry metric tonne unit (dmtu) on June 5, 2026, unchanged week on week.” This has been corrected to “Fastmarkets’ manganese ore semi-carbonate index, 36.5% Mn, cif Tianjin was $4.74 per dry metric tonne unit (dmtu) on June 5, 2026, a fall of 1 cent from $4.75 per dmtu on May 29.”
 
The second to last line of the rationale was also corrected from “The seaborne semi‑carbonate manganese ore market was stable during the week amid improved liquidity” to “The seaborne semi‑carbonate manganese ore market softened during the week amid improved liquidity.”
