Proposal to amend specification of graphite spherical assessment

Fastmarkets proposes to amend the specification of its MB-GRA-0036 graphite spherical 99.95%, 15 microns, fob China assessment from 15 microns to 15-17 microns, including 15, 16, and 17 microns.

Following an initial consultation with the market, and a review of typical data sets that are collected over the recent months, Fastmarkets proposes to include a wider range in the specification to better reflect evolving market dynamics.

The proposed new specifications are listed below, with the proposed amendment in italics:

Quality: 99.95% C, 15-17 microns, uncoated
Quantity; Min 20 tonnes
Location: fob China
Unit: US$ per tonne
Publication: Weekly, Thursday by 4pm London

These prices are a part of the Fastmarkets industrial minerals package.

The consultation period for this proposed amendment starts from Wednesday March 5 and will end on Monday, April 7. The amendment will then take place, subject to market feedback, on Thursday, April 10.
