Fastmarkets proposes to discontinue five precious metals price assessments due to the limited liquidity of the markets in question and to focus on its core markets.

With the exception of China’s CSI 300, Asian-Pacific equities and pre-market major western equity futures were weaker this morning, Tuesday July 7, while base metals prices on the London Metal Exchange were mixed, although in general were holding up well.

Fastmarkets has changed the frequency of its domestic and imported reinforcing bar assessments to weekly, and changed its domestic rebar assessment to a single price point rather than a range.

Following a consultation period, Fastmarkets is amending the publishing times for certain ferrous and non-ferrous scrap prices effective Monday July 13.
