Base metals prices are consolidating on the London Metal Exchange this morning, Wednesday March 29, with prices off an average of 0.2%. Nickel leads the decline with a 0.6% drop to $9,940 per tonne, the rest vary from lead prices being down 0.4%, to aluminium prices being up 0.1%. Three-month copper prices are off 0.3% at $5,872 per tonne.
The base metals on the London Metal Exchange are little changed this morning, Tuesday March 28, with three-month copper prices at $5,799 per tonne and volume has been light with 4,937 lots traded as of 05:55 BST.
The base metals are slightly weaker this morning, Friday March 24, with London Metal Exchange prices down an average of 0.3% as of 06:20 GMT.
Volatility has picked up in the base metals trading on the London Metals Exchange in recent days, with prices down an average of 0.4% this morning, Thursday March 23. This is after prices rebounded on Wednesday afternoon following a bout of weakness that started on Monday.
After last week’s stronger tone in the base metals, this week is seeing some weakness with the metals trading on the London Metal Exchange down an average of 0.5% this morning, Wednesday March 22.
Base metals trading on the London Metal Exchange are weaker this morning, Tuesday March 21, with prices down an average of 0.4%, this comes after an average decline of 0.7% on Monday.
